After serving the past seventeen years, watching God do some marvelous things at another ministry, God called Dave to be the new Senior Pastor at SCBC. He is married to a wonderful woman named Patty and they have three children: Jared, Austin, and Hannah. They also have a cute Beagle named “Daisey”.

Dave received his Bachelors Degree from Biola University and his Masters Degree from Talbot Seminary. He has also done extensive Doctrine of Ministry work at Phoenix Seminary. Adding to his education Dave teaches, consults, and does leadership training for churches, missionaries, and mission organizations around the world.

Dave is passionate about seeing people come to know Jesus and growing in their maturity in the Lord. He sees God’s people as the ministers and the missionaries of the great work of God. He believes the Bible is the sole authority of life and lifestyle. He teaches the Bible with conviction and confidence, believing that God still is in the process of changing lives. He uses creative means to communicate the timeless truths of the Word of God.

Dave loves to body surf, ride his bike, play tennis, golf, and compete in mini triathlons with his wife Patty (who always finishes ahead of him).
