About Paul Sampson

Paul married his wife Laura, in June of 1986 and has two lovely daughters, Elizabeth-born in ’90, and Corinne-born in ‘94.

He and Laura first attended SCBC on Easter Sunday of 1985. Laura and Paul have served in the worship ministry since that time. Growing up in the worship culture of SCBC has increased their passion to see people gather for corporate worship and more importantly live lifestyles of worship.

Paul graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Radio/TV/ Film and served as an intern in the High School ministry for two years in the early 90’s with Dan Kimball.

It was during that time that the Lord confirmed a real call on his life to pursue ministry on a full time basis so he went back to school and received a BS in Theology and Christian Leadership from San Jose Christian College (now called William Jessup University).

He was hired to come on staff full time during the summer of 1998.

Paul now leads the Worship Arts Ministry (they like to call it "WAM").

Paul loves playing and listening to music of all types, writing music with Laura, watching movies, Taylor guitars, baseball-especially the SF Giants, traveling to foreign lands for mission’s trips, and having adventures with his girls.
